Accident or Not?

I don't believe in accidents. I think that everything occurs for a reason. An unexpected event my occur but, that doesn't make the occurrence an accident. There is a cause and effect for everything in life. The choice you make or someone else makes is the cause. What comes as a result of the choice is the effect.

So if every situation has a cause, why do we allow Satan to talk us in to believing our lives were an accident? Our lives were never accidental. God has a plan an purpose for us. He created us in his own likeness and image. This is truth! So if he created us this way, then obviously we are not accidental.

God knew us all before he formed us in our mothers wombs. That right there says NOT AN ACCIDENT! Form = mold, shape, build. God molded us with intentions of us living like him. He picked our parents, grandparents, and ancestors because he a purpose for them in our lives.

We have all made poor choices at some point in our life and the results may have been less than ideal but, the results were not accidentally caused.  When you find yourself looking at your life and see that you do or don't like what is going on remember it is not an accident. Be  a good student and find God's purpose in that situation and cause a change.

Enjoyment

Time for a self assessment. Look at yourself and find out what you enjoy. For some this may be an easy task and for others a difficult one. But, we must know what we find enjoyment in. What do you call enjoyable and why?

If you enjoy anything more than a relationship with God, we must do some rearranging. Rearrange your priorities. God first. We must delight in the lord 1st and then he will give us our hearts desires. Next if you find what you enjoy is harmful to your temple, then we have to reevaluate. Time to replace that with something more beneficial to your life. Third if you find what you enjoy lines up with God's way and can profit the Kingdom. Then use it to help others. For example, I love to write hence , the blogging. My husband writes music and it lines up with the word, so he uses it to reach others.

If you find enjoyment in helping others before your self, then you will feel unspeakable joy. As I do when someone says how my blog or comments helped them.

Jesus
Others
Yourself

Take back your power

God is strength! God is power! God is our father and created us to be just like him. Believing all the previous statement are true, then why do we act so weak? God has given us so many powers. The power to create, the power to prosper, the power to get wealth, to love, to forgive, and to rest. Philippians 4:13  tells us that we can do all things through Christ. That statement alone is empowering.

It says, WE, YOU, ME, EVERYONE, can do all things. We have the power to do ANYTHING with God. The reason many believers are not experiencing the rest, peace, creative ability, and power is because the devil has us fooled. We are NOT weak! If you look at our tongue, it is small in comparison to other parts of our body. But, our tongue is our strength. It is our tool to power. Use that small, but powerful muscle to take back your power. When we do this, we use the power God gave us. In Ephesians 6:10 it says be strong in the Lord and in the power of his might.

So I challenge you to take back your power! Don't be fooled any longer! Use your tongue to strengthen yourself.

What a wicked tongue

I have been told many times that I had a way with words. I used to think that it was a good thing. But then as I matured I realized unless I controlled my words, it was a bad thing. I knew that I could speak words that would cut deeper than any sword. I knew that I could speak words that would make some people feel like the size of an ant. I also knew that I could speak words that would make people feel like kings and queens.

This doesn't only apply to me. We all have the same ability. The power to speak is a God given gift. A gift that we can use or abuse. We must use our mouth/tongue to create, speak life, and truth. Not to utter complaints or hurts.

The Bible says, "But the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison." I know that's not how I want my words to be viewed. That is why I constantly try to be mindful of what I'm saying. In James it says we must listen more and speak less. If we do this then we are controlling that wicked tongue.

Use your tongue as a weapon of mass destruction, tearing down all the evils Satan has set against you. Use it to build up others and most importantly use it to Glorify God.

Let it Go

As I figured out a while ago my way wasn't working. Constantly driving my car (life) the way I wanted and not the way God intended for it to be. I was doing wrong and thinking I was doing right. That's easy to do when you are deceived. I was driving my car (life) with a dirty windshield (mind). So when my windshield was dirty, I didn't get a clear vision of the road. I have learned that just because the road was traveled on by many, that didn't make it right. In fact its the wrong road. It says so in the word. The correct road is the one traveled on by few.

When your windshield is dirty its easy to follow the crowd. It's easy to drink, smoke, lie, cheat, deceive, keep secrets from your mate, and most importantly ignore God, when you are not seeing clearly. However, when you give God the wheel and let go of your way, life gets easy.  Then and only then will your life truly be free and headed in the right direction. Life becomes easy when you are not worried about what secrets or lies will come to surface.

Yet, we let the dirty windshield keep us going in the wrong direction headed to destruction. If your headed the wrong way, it is not to late to change things. It an easy process. All you have to do is let go and let God. Give God the wheel and surrender to his ways. Strive to live the life he wants us to live. Yes, you will fall short but ask for God's forgiveness, then forgive your self and keep going. Don't take the wheel back.

Life becomes easy when you allow God to drive. So let go and let God!

Season for you

Allow yourself to be changed by God's word. Today can be the start of a new season in your life.

Changing seasons

I'm happy that the sun is shining almost everyday and it's been beautiful outside. This is because the season has finally changed to summer. Each of the 4 seasons brings a different expectation into our lives. We know what type of weather to expect and what type of animals will appear. The funny thing about seasons, is how we all interpret them. Some people enjoy one season more than the next and that's fine.

The Bible tells us that with God there is a season for everything. Some seasons more enjoyable than others. Yet, as people we panic when we are in a difficult season. Why do we do this? When you are a believer of the word and a doer of the word there is no reason to panic. If it's a difficult season right now that's OK. A better season is just around the corner. And guess what? It doesn't have to take as long as natural seasons do.

Unlike the weather we can predict the seasons in our lives. If you want a sad season then look at all the negative things around you. If you want a happy season find all the good around you. If you want a reaping season then have a sowing season. God has equipped us with ALL the power, grace, and mercy to always have a bright seasons. The only thing standing in the way of that is YOU.

This may help bring some sunshine your way!

It's working

Yes you can!

I had a dream the other night and all I remember is Sherman yelling, "yes I can" at the TV (a scene from The Nutty Professor.) You might be thinking so what? Well, I choose to find the lesson in this dream.

The lesson is that YES YOU CAN! Not because Melanie said so, but because God said so. The Bible says you can do ALL things. So that means you can have, do, become, develop, or invent whatever you want. Because YOU CAN DO ALL THINGS!

So what are you waiting for? You woke up this morning by God's grace, so it is another chance to make things happen. Jesus said, if you can believe, then all things are possible. Change your mind! Let your dreams become a reality by simply believing.

What's on your mind?

I can remember when I was a child, my mind would wonder. My mother would say, "I have a penny," meaning I have a penny for your thoughts. I always liked when mom would say that. It showed me that she cared about what I was thinking. Now as a wife and mother I often ask my husband or children what they are thinking about. Why? Simply because I care.

God cares about what you think about too! He wants us to think about him, his ways, and his words. In fact he wants his ways and his words to be what we keep in the front of our minds. Colossians 3:2 AMP says, "And set your minds and keep them set on what is above (the higher things), not on the things that are on the earth."

There is no point wasting time thinking about the things you can't change (earthly things). So why not invest your time thinking about the things that never change (the higher things). Those things are God and God's way of living.

Show me don't tell me

I find it funny when people say I love you all the time but their actions don't line up with what they tell you. I also find it funny when people say trust me, yet they show you that they are untrustworthy.
God wants us to be trustworthy. He wants us to demonstrate our walk, not just give lip service. What good is it to have gifts and talents and not use them? How does that profit the Kingdom?  God calls us believers to be doers of the word, not just hearers. God wants us use our gifts and talents for the good of the kingdom.

God wants us to show that we are worthy, thankful, and followers of him. The way to show this is by being obedient. HEAR AND DO!

Sing

Instead of singing the latest tunes on the radio. Glorify God with your song.

Psalm 147:7 KJV
Sing unto the Lord with thanksgiving; sing praise upon the harp unto our God:

Cease From Labor

When we talk about labor in the Kingdom it is not just physical work. Laboring can be anxiety, stress, and figuring. All of which are outside of God's plan for our life.

Relaxation
Ease
Stillness
Tranquillity

This is what God wants for us. God gives us believers rest. If we follow Gods way we can enter into the peace and tranquillity that he wants for us.

Scared
Tense
Restless
Exhausted
Strain
Suspense

That is what Satan brings to our lives.  He wants us to strain and figure that way we are not acting in the way God wants us to.

I did the STRESSing and trust me it stinks. When I entered into God's rest I found out what I was missing. Surrender your natural way of thinking and come enjoy the best stuff on earth.

Test

As I sat in Bible study my pastor was teaching a lesson on patience. His example was one that we all find ourselves in at some point. He was telling us a story about being in the grocery store and he when he was in line there was a father and son behind him. My pastor wanted to get rid of extra $1 bills so he was feeding them in to the machine. As he was doing this he saw the frustrated father behind him. Now, the father was being tested. He could have demonstrated patience to his son by waiting but, instead he moved to the next register. Yep..something we all have done at one point or another. Pastor illustrated how the father failed that test of patience and the opportunity to help mold his son.
Well, believer don't you think we have the same chance to demonstrate our patience with God. We are all placed in situations to be patient or learn more patience.  Psalm 27:14 says, "Wait on the Lord : be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord." Waiting is patience.
As I sat in church I laughed because the patience lesson is being taught in my house. My husband thought of himself as a patient guy, but he just got revelation that he is not as patient as he thought himself to be. (Something I have known for a while) but, as my husband is going through this growth process we discuss it. I help by pointing out some short comings in certain situations. (I don't recommend this for all people, as it may cause an argument if you don't have that type of communication). In our lives we challenge each other to live the excellent life that God calls us to.
James 1:3 says, "the testing of your faith worketh patience." So I say rejoice when you are being tested. If you pass you have developed to another level of patience and faith in God, if you didn't do so well evaluate your level to see what you need to develop on. Either way rejoice and thank God.

Who's Who?

The Word is truth
The Word is bread
The Word is not only read
If it's a lie
Or steals from you
Then you should know who
Because, God is truth
God is love
God keeps us from above
Satan is a lie
Satan steals from you
Satan can't be true
The Holy Spirit is life
The Holy Spirit is inside
The Holy Spirit is your guide
Satan is a thief
Satan is a crook
Satan's ways are defined in the Book
Bind him up
Rebuke his ways
Let God keep you all of your days
Follow The Way
Believe the Truth
Learn these things in your youth
Keep these things first
In all you do
And Satan's ways can't harm you

Relationship

I have heard so many people put believers (Christians) down. Labeling them as hypocrites, liars, and cons. I know that those remarks are the way Satan keeps people stuck.
But, I challenge you to use those remarks as motivation.  Use those remarks as your guide. Allow them to keep you working on your relationship with God so that people see your light, not your faults.

Worry Not, God's Got It

I used to be a person who worried all of the time. I worried pretty much about everything. Sometimes things that had nothing to do with me. But, now I ask myself why? Why did I worry about anything?  Worrying doesn't change the end result.

In fact worrying about something makes it worse. Naturally and spiritually. In the natural worrying can damage your body. It can lead to high blood pressure, ulcers, loss of sleep, loss of appetite, and many more conditions. In the spiritual, worry takes you outside of God's will for your life. Worry is truly negative faith.  God wants  us to rest and rely on him. The word tell believers to rest. So why are you not resting?
Worrying about the bills, your job, your children, your spouse is not resting. Jesus told us to take no thought for your life. If Jesus said it, why are we not doing it? I know. It is because we try to be our own GPS in life. Instead of letting GOD direct us. We navigate our own direction instead of letting Jesus take the wheel.
A car is not meant to driven by 2 people. When we let God drive we always go in the right direction. But, when we take the wheel God stops driving because he won't over power our will. Then we end up going the wrong way or taking a longer trip to our destination.
Psalms 34:4 says "I sought the LORD, and he answered me and delivered me from all my fears." Worry = fears!  I am here to tell you that you can have a worry free life, that is full of rest. Just follow the above verse as I did, and your life will never be the same.
When I sought the Lord he told me rest because God's got it.  So I'm telling you the same thing. Rest! God's got it.

Watch this video, you may find it uplifting.

Obstacles... from Minister Qui

What is an obstacle? Sometimes I think its just something annoying that tries to side track me from doing or having God’s best. But is it more than that? You see, when I see an obstacle on my path I am immediately effected by its presence. Does that ever happen to you? (Be honest…it’s not like you have to answer out loud our anything!) But seriously, can you relate? Let’s think about this for a minute…
You get up for work in the morning and travel on your usual route to work. On your way there you read a sign that says your exit is closed due to construction. Immediately your whole day is changed. At that very moment your day has been altered.
My husband and I joke all the time about his sense of direction or the lack there of. (sidebar: I know he’s gonna read this, yet I still keep writing! LOL) But I on the other hand he jokingly calls “the navigator” because I can pretty much find my way anywhere. If I encountered the obstacle we mentioned earlier on my way to work I’d probably be able to find an alternate route to work pretty quickly, but my husband would most definitely have to pull out the GPS!
The crazy thing is that if I found my own way or my husband used the GPS, the end result would be the same. We’d eventually get to wok. You see my husband and I have realized what areas we’re strong in and what areas we may need a little help and we don’t try to step on each others toes to prove that we can do the job better than the other. For instance, my husband wouldn’t waste time trying to find his way around, instead he’d just pull out his GPS get himself on course. So then why as believers do we waste so much time trying to deal with opposition on our own?
Here’s what interesting about these obstacles we face in life’s journey:
YOU WILL ONLY ENCOUNTER AN OBSTACLE IF YOU’RE ACTUALLY GOING SOMEWHERE! Crazy right?!?!
So be encouraged people of God because you are growing and moving towards what God has predestined you for. But, don’t stop there. The bible tells us not to get weary or tired when we are doing what’s right because we will most certain reap if we don’t give up, cave in, and quit! Even if you need to grab hold of some of that holy anger Mrs. Wilson shared with us last week as a motivator to keep plowing on.
I truly believe that the number one reason satan goes so hard on the believer is so that we don’t live the victorious life God predestined for us to live. See we have to remember that we are the light in this world, and if we are complaining about the same stuff unbelievers are going through our light is NOT shining. As a matter of fact, our lights are dim at best! And we’re definitely NOT “salty” enough to draw souls to the kingdom! (you ever tried eat a fried pork chop with no salt…yep that’s us when we’re complaining)
What we do in response to the opposition in our life will determine the end result. How will you respond the next time you face an obstacle? Will you pull out your bible and look to the Word to navigate you to your destination? Or maybe you will stop and listen to the Holy Spirit who is ready to lead you on your journey. Now tell the truth and shame the devil…what you usually do is call one of your friends for their advice, right? WHY DO WE DO THIS? She’s just as lost as you are and you calling her for directions? A MESS!
Bottom line: YOU WERE NEVER INTENDED TO FACE OBSTACLES ALONE.
That’s why you have the Power of the Holy Spirit living on the inside of you. So that you can break through every roadblock with the anointing of God. And for those of you who may be wondering “Well, I keep running into the same obstacle over and over again.” Here what the Holy Spirit wants to say to you: That recurring barrier is what is keeping you from moving to your next level. But guess what? You need to get excited right here and right now because you are literally right at the ceiling of your breakthrough! Revelation is a powerful thing and if can see through this obstacle for what it is, you can overthrow it! Hallelujah! And whatever you can see, you can change in the name of Jesus! It is temporal, subject to change. All you have to do is use your faith to mixed with what the Word of God says about that “obstacle” and you will experience a direct flight to your next level in God!

Forgetting God's Grace

In Luke 2:40 it states," and the grace of God was upon him." So clearly it is safe to say God's grace is upon us. We know this because God wouldn't do that only for Jesus. He does that for all his children. God doesn't have a favorite. So if God has given all of us his grace, why do some people easily forget about it? People forget how God delivered them from addiction, homelessness, abuse, anger, craziness, and poverty. Kept them safe, healthy, out of jail, or even alive when they placed themselves in a bad situation. No matter what your situation was God's gift of grace was enough for you to cope, deal, be comforted, and overcome it. God grace is give to you without God holing it against you, without God charging you For it. It was all Free. All because God wanted to do it out of his love for us.
Romans 3:23-24 says, "All have sinned and fell short of the glory of God. Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus." Ephesians 4:7 says,  "but unto everyone of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ." Jesus was God's gift to us. God sacrificed his son so we could live a great life. Yet, as people so easily we forget what God has done for us.
Very few people look back at their past and remember what God has done for them by his grace. Now that you have the job, car, house, family, money, or deliverance you forget what life was like when you were without. THAT IS NOT FAIR!!
Not fair to God, to yourself, and to others. God's gift was free. When something is given freely it is because the giver wants to. In return you should want to show your gratitude. Not only should you thank God for what he has given you, you should pay it forward. Show God your gratitude by sowing in to someones life.
Sow your testimony so another person can be helped, sow your love, time, gifts, and talents, so another person can benefit from what God has given to you.
When we pay it forward not only are we helping someone else, we are setting ourselves up to receive more from God just by showing our gratitude for his gifts to us.

Psalm 37:25

Scripture paraphrased by Min Qui:

So I used to be young right?  Lol...and now I've matured and have gotten older...Been thru some things but even thru all I've been thru I can honestly say  I have not yet seen God forget those who have been put back in right relationship with Him. And for that matter I've never once seen anyone beg for bread. What I have seen however is how God provides at exactly the rite moment just before there is a need to be exposed and take on the burden shield us from all harm.

God's Love

God's Love

I lived my live in fear
Because I didn't know you were here
So many nights I cried
And wished I had died
A heart full of pain
Life lived in vain
But, now I see it was only trickery.
You loving me was no mystery
It was written before history
If I had only known your word
I could have seen my foolish ways
And not wasted so many of my days
Serving Satan in sin
But then I gave my life to you
Choosing to live as you tell me to
Fighting the good fight of faith
Covered by your grace
I can never loose life's race
With every good gift coming from above
And being filled with your spirit
the one that I can feel and hear it
How Blessed I am
To be created by your master plan
I will serve you as long I can

Is ok to be Angry?

I used to be a person who got angry very easily. I would get angry with people based on what they said, what they did, or what they didn't do. People would get on my nerves very easily.  When I was angry I would be mean to other people and say or do things that would intentionally hurt someone. It is not that I was a mean person I just believed that when I was angry or hurt other people should be angry and hurt too. So I would react based on what I was feeling. As I got older I came to believe that anger was bad. So I would keep myself away from the people who made me angry. But, that wasn't a good thing either.
As I spent more time in the word I came to find that being angry was not a bad thing. My natural thinking rejected that statement. I couldn't understand how it was acceptable. So I had to spend more time in the word and  get revelation on what God says about anger. Ephesians 4:26 says "be angry and sin not; let not the sun go down upon your wrath." Therefore the bible says you can be angry, you just can't do anything that is against the word of God when you are angry. It also tells us not to go to bed angry.
So when I was looking at myself I realized that it was not the act of being angry that was wrong, it was what I did when I got angry that was wrong. In Colossians 3:8 it tells you "But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth." The Bible will never tell you to do something that is impossible. The word tells us to put of all the above things so that is what we must do.
As I went on to seek more wisdom from the Holy Spirit. I asked the Holy Spirit to show me how to use anger in a positive way. So I was reflecting over my life and found that at times I had used anger as a motivational influence. You might think is that even possible? The answer is yes. If the bible tells us to be angry and sin not, then we should be able to get angry and do good. Think about your haters, I am sure when you found out that you had haters you were angry. But, you can use that anger to drive you in to success. Allow that anger to motivate you for greatness. Allow that anger to stir up more desire inside your spirit man so you can push on toward your prosperity.
The last thing I needed to know was how do I control my actions when I am angry. How do I respond to anger verses reacting to anger. The answer is laid out in the word. James 1:19 tells us " let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, and slow to wrath. That is why I believe God gave us 2 ears and 1 mouth. So we can listen more and talk less.

Inspired by God

Hi all, this blog was inspired by God. In my prayer time God spoke to me and told me to create a blog so all his children can discuss his works. Please feel free to post anything that aligns with Gods word. Let your trials be a testimony to others so they may be inspired. As Christians we need to do more ministering to others. There are so many souls that need to be touched. Feel free to post inspiring scriptures, pictures, songs, poems, anything that can inspire others.  Matthew 5:16 says, " let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

If we all pass the blog forward to 1 person we can minister to thousands, if not millions of people. So let your light shine bright for others and minister to their soul. We can all give a minute of our day to God and uplift someone else.
