Mix

In order to benefit from the word of God we have to mix it with faith. If we believe the Word and don't mix it with faith we will not reap the benefit.
Hebrews 4:2 KJV
For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it .

What is the point in knowing and or believing something if you don't have the faith for it. Look at your life and see if you are mixing. If your not exercise your faith muscles and watch it manifest.

Key to Change

The key to changing your life is your mouth. Your mouth changes everything. Everything right or wrong in your life can be determined by the words that come out of your mouth.

Our words are tied to our hearts. So if we are having a good day we speak positive. If we are having a bad day we speak negative. That is WRONG! God intended for us to use our mouths like he did. In the beginning God SAID, and it came to pass. So whatever we SAY comes to pass. This is illustrated in Genesis.

Even if your not experiencing something at the present time, speak it until you see it. If you are experiencing something you don't want to be experiencing speak the solution. However, you must have faith for the change!

The bottom line is that we create everything with our words. Start speaking positive and watch the changes around you!

Fear Not

What are you afraid of? Whatever your answer is I can tell you don't be afraid of that! There is nothing in or of this world that you should be afraid of. Reason being God doesn't want us to be afraid. He wants us to trust in him and his ways, that is why he gave us the power to live a life without fear.

Surrender your fears to God and live a power filled life of love!

2 Timothy 1:7 KJV
For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

Healing

When Jesus walked the Earth he healed many different people. We aren't any different then those people.  Jesus wants to heal us. The problem is many people don't have faith in his healing abilities.  We want to feel better and we want our situations to be better but we don't seek God in the situation.

God will heal us inside and out. Simply because he wants to. He wants us to be whole nothing broken and nothing missing. Plant your faith seed in God's healing ability and watch him heal you. Not only from your physical impairments but your emotional ones too!

Changes

It is time for a change. Something needs improvement in all of us. I'm sure there are things that we all need to work on. (Stop thinking a out someone else and look at yourself). If we were completely honest, we would know that we all need some work. Well the best thing for you to do is be willing and seek God help.

God will provide us all the help we need to become like him. The struggle is not letting ourselves be changed by the world around us. God is more powerful than any word my circumstance. A lot of things happen around us daily. We have the choice to decide how it will effect us. Choose God way and change from the inside out. Don't choose the way of the world and be changed from the outside in.

Be changed by God, not the world!

Share the Faith

God has delt us all the measure of faith. Some of us strengthen out faith muscles more than others, so we are all at different levels of  faith. This does not make one person better than the other it just makes us different. Some people have more faith for healing then others, some have more faith in prosperity then other, and some have more faith for peace. When we take all the individual levels of faith and combine them the anointing is supreme.

In The Bible Paul tells us to help one another with our faith. Romans 1:12 KJV That is, that I may be comforted together with you by the mutual faith both of you and me. Comfort, strengthen, teach, and encourage someone with your faith. Be the light so God can get the glory!

Beauty

God doesn't have ugly creations. Everything he makes is perfect and beautiful. Think of something that you find ugly and then look at it as Gods creation. It will then take on a whole new meaning.

All the pants, insects, animals, and people on Earth are beautiful simply because God said so!

Choices

Every day we face many choices. When we are faced with the decision we hope believe that our choice is the best at that time (Well, I hope we do). However, there is a lot of people who only think in the moment. Thinking in the moment is not the best thing to do. For example, when you are angry and you choose to smoke a cigarette. At that moment it may "settle your nerves", but it does have a long term effect on your body.  If we took a few moments to think of the long term consequence for our choices, then we would make better choices. In fact if we looked to God before we decided then we would never make a bad decision.

The sad reality is that many people don't look to God be for making a decision, and when they end up in a situation that they didn't plan on they get up set. Every decision in our lives is entirely up to us. Nobody, not even God can make up or mind for us. God gives us specific directions that will help us with any decision.
Deuteronomy 30:19 KJV
I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live.

So when you find yourself in a situation choose life. God is life! Any decision that lines up with his way is the right choice.

Walk By The Spirit

One of my hardest challenges was learning how to let my spirit man lead. I was so accustomed to letting my flesh be in control that I would fight myself. God tells us to walk by our spirit and not our flesh. If we live this way then we can't be wrong.

Fight to live the way God calls us to!

It is God

Philippians 2:13 KJV For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.

I love that scripture. That scripture tells me that there should be no excuse for gloating. If its God who works in you, then clearly it is not your own doing. So instead of thinking it is your own power, PRAISE GOD and glorify him for his works in you.

Alone

Have you ever felt alone? Have you ever felt alone and you were surrounded by a lot of people? Well I have. I have felt alone many of times. The good thing is that alone was just a feeling and feelings are subject to change. We can control how we feel. Part of controlling our feelings is looking at the situation from God's eyes.

God tells us he will never leave us nor forsake us. So if he will never leave us, then he is with us everywhere we go. Making us NEVER alone. You may think that's all well and good, but it still seems like I am alone. Well you are not. You just have to put some feet to your faith and start treating God's presence the way he wants us to.

God wants you to talk to him and acknowledge his presence all the time. Talk to him when you're physically alone. Just because you can't see him God is Always there.

Friend or Foe?

Life would be easy if we got along with everyone and if we were honest we would only like the people who like us. Unfortunately, we are not supposed to be like that. God tells us to love everyone. Part of my growing pains in life were learning how to love without liking.  To some that doesn't make sense, so let me explain.

I was a person who could hold a grudge and take it to the grave. I was a person who considered people dead to me. By doing that I thought I was protecting myself. Yet, I was only hurting myself. I was hurting myself because God doesn't want me to be like that.

I know not everyone is going to like me! I'm aware people will talk about me! I'm aware people will lie on me! Today,I say who cares!!!!! They did worse to Jesus. I am not exempt from the haters! But I do have to do my part.

My part is praying for them and not acting like them and most if all love them. Matthew 5:44-45 KJV But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; [45] That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.

So yes, I love you regardless of what has been said or what has been done. I may not like some of you ways but that does not change the love.

Ordinary or Extraordinary

Do you want to be an average person? A person who lives a regular life just going through day by day. Or do you want to be an extraordinary person? A person who has a phenomenal above average life.

I pick extraordinary! I have the unusual life! I am extraordinary! So are you!!!! God has called each of us to live a life of excellence (Min. Qui). A life where we have all things we want and need. A life where we choose to make a difference in the lives of others. A life where we allow God to direct us so we don't have to float through day by day. A purpose driven life.

If you don't have this life,  you can in 3 simple steps.

1.Make up in your mind that you want to be extraordinary
2.Declare Jesus Lord of your life. (turn you life over to him)
3. Let God direct your path

If you have done steps 1 and 2 and are not experiencing the extraordinary life refer to step 3. Do a self analysis and find out who is directing your path. Is it you or God? It can't be both so if you find that God isn't driving the allow if to! That is the difference between ordinary and extraordinary. God is the EXTRA!

Uncomfortable

A child sometimes experiences pains. Theses pains can come without a cause. Most times parents will regard the pains as growing pains. Growing pains are a natural part of life. Theses growing pains also occur in the spiritual growth of all people.

When a person decides to completely follow God it can be painful to our bodies. To stop living outside the kingdom hurts. It hurts because the things we were doing were pleasing to our natural mind and bodies. For example when a person (me) decides it is wrong to live being angry, it hurts when I have to restrain myself from displaying anger. I know that temporary moment of pain is beneficial. It means I am growing. I'm maturing in to the person God wants me to be.

So, let yourself experience some growing pains as you change into the person God wants you to be. It may be uncomfortable but It's worth it!

On the surface thinking

When we look at a situation, we can only judge it by our experiences. Some of our experiences are shaped by others. So when I used to look at my life, I could only see the here and now of the situation. I saw how "I" was going to fix it and how "I" was going to make things better. I call this on the surface thinking.

There are so many ways to accomplish a goal. There are so many ways to get to your destination. Not just the same roads you drive on every day. But as people we get complacent and self reliant.  When we do those we limit ourselves and that can be a problem. God has so many ways of doing things and if we allow open ourselves to his way then our outcomes are endless.

Isaiah 55:8-9 KJV For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord . [9] For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

Stop thinking on the surface and let Gods way guide you to greatness!

Love

God wants us to love him with all we have. He wants us to love him on our good days, bad days, and our mediocre days. When we feel like it and when we don't. Deuteronomy 6:5 KJV And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might. This it true love.

Love is not just a feeling. The butterflies are jitters that you get when your mate is around in not the love that God talks about. That's fleshy love. That love gratifies our flesh. Real love is a state of being and doing. It is respect, actions, sacrifices, and blamelessness.  The Bible tells us to love our enemies. If this were meant to be with the fleshy love it would be impossible. We wouldn't get butterflies or jitters when they came around. So if its not the fleshy love then what is it? It is a respect for that person. They may not like you, they may lie on you, or even try bodily harm to you but loving them means you will forgive the wrongs. You will not hold a grudge. Love is also doing for others and sacrificing so others can have. Look at God he made the ultimate sacrifice for us. If that's not love then I don't know what is. Oh, and guess what God doesn't even ask us to make a sacrifice that big!

If you want more definitions of Godly love then read 1 Corinthians 13: 4-8

Communication

Communication occurs in many ways. It can be verbal or nonverbal. In the two categories communication takes many shapes. God wants us to communicate with him and allow him to communicate with us. It doesn't have to be complex. We can raise our hands and he knows what we mean or we can talk to him for hours.

God communicates with us all the time. He does it so perfectly. With some people he speaks in a gentle whisper and with some people he give a nudge. God knows our individual learning styles and he uses them to assist us daily.

Keep your lines of communication open and allow God to communicate with you. He is available 24/7/365. It is a difference maker. Prayer is simply communication with God.

Dust to Dust

When I was very young my father died. I was only 3 1/2 years old at the time.  Because I was so young my mother did the best job that she could explaining death to me. She had told me God needed another angel so he took my father. I was very very angry with God for doing this. In fact I remember saying I hated God (stupid me).  I now thank God for his grace, mercy, and forgiveness. I'm so thankful that he doesn't hold that against me.   Anyway, back to what I was saying. With my father dying I lived in fear of my mom dying too. I remember sleeping on the floor next to her because I was often afraid that she would die. I know some people think wow, it's not that serious but to me it was. My mother was all that I had so I wasn't going to lose her too. Not that I could control it.  So I was a child who feared death. I mean completely feared death. My mother took us to church, she taught us about God,  and she always showed me that she loved God. Yet, I didn't fully trust God. I Now know that fear is not of God and everyone must die at some point. How did I come to learn this?

Well, God placed me in an environment where I was surrounded by life and death. I worked in Emergency Room. I have seen stuff that some people could never imagine. This is where I saw God! I witnessed miracles all the time. I saw miracles that I knew only GOD could have  done. So this was when I became hungry to learn more. I no longer feared death and knew it had to happen at some point. I learned that God didn't take my father because he was selfishly acquiring an angel. My father died because it was his season to.

I'm summarizing all this for a reason! It is to tell you that death is not bad. It is nothing to fear or be angry about. Death is inevitable! The Bible tells us that we all will return to the dust from which we came. Our bodies are rented but our spirits will live on forever!  We we did physically God finds it to be previous! So because we never know the time or day in which we will die we should live every day for the glorification of God!

Marriage

Marriage is not something that should be taken lightly. When you get married you enter on to a union with your spouse and with God. This union is serious. A husband and wife is given specific directions by God as to how they are supposed to treat one another.  The Bible tells a husband to love his wife as Christ loved the church. It also tells a wife to be submissive to the husband.

Loving your wife as Christ loved the church is not a complicate task. The Bible is telling a husband to love his wife unconditionally, gently, provide, protect, and be the priest for his house. This means he is the one accountable for the family. He will have to answer for the actions that influenced the family right or wrong.

Being submissive is not as complicated as women make out it to be. I am a very strong and independent woman! So, I learned how to be submissive. I thought I'm not going to let him run me. But, I learned if you have the right spouse he won't run you and won't even try to. Submission is simply allowing your husband to be the head! That is what God told him to do. He is the one responsible for his family. NO that doesn't make him your boss. It makes him the leader of the pack.

The Bible gives every husband and wife direction on their roles. The problems in most marriages is that people don't play the role correctly. So if you find that there is some problems in your marriage evaluate yourself and find out what you are doing, (not your spouse) then review what The Bible tells you to do. If it doesn't line up change!

Below are some scriptures about marriage.

Genesis 2:18
Genesis 2:24
Romans 7:2
Hebrews 13:4
1 Peter 3:7
Proverbs 12:4
Matthew 19:4-6
Colossians 3:18-19
Ephesians 5:22-23

Fireworks

So I honestly try to find a lesson in everything and on this particular day I found a lesson in the most unique place. My children and I were watching fireworks and as we were doing this my oldest daughter was assigning people to each firework based on the way the exploded. I found it very interesting how she was able to see personalities in each firework. So as my daughter was assigning each of us a firework, I just soaked it in.

Later on that night as I was laying in bed, I started to see the personalities in each firework. It got me thinking. Which firework was I? Was I the loud booming fire work? The beautiful firework that filled the sky with light? The fast exploding firework? Or the firework that let off small booms? Each firework left its own imprint on each person watching them that night.

I saw these fireworks as our light, the spiritual light that is supposed to shine so bright that we draw people with it. So take a moment and figure out wich firework you are, and which one you would want to be. As for me I want to be the beautiful firework that lights up the sky. That way people all around can see my light.

Matthew 5:16 KJV
Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

Because you want to

I make it a daily goal to do at least one small thing for the people around me. I do it with the intention to make their day a little easier or brighter. I do this because I want to. I want people to feel special and appreciated. I love doing this!  I challenge you to do the same thing. Fall in love with doing for others. God wants us to do things for people and to be happy when we do it.

Philippians 2:13-15 KJV For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure. [14] Do all things without murmurings and disputings: [15] That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;

So do what the word says, do all things with out complaining, simply because you want the God that is in you to shine outwardly.
