Weak Muscles

Last summer my daughter got diagnosed with scoliosis and sopondylolisthesis. She under went treatment, physical therapy, and chiropractic care. She was told that this attack on her body would be something she had to live with forever and the best thing she could do was keep her core muscles strong. (Now I know she is healed, but this is not a lesson in my faith) So until her healing manifests itself in the natural she is supposed to do exercises daily. Well, that doesn't happen. When she doesn't exercise as frequently as she should I can see her back curve more. Yet, if she did the exercises her strength would be greatly increased and her symptoms would be less.

This applies to us and the body of Christ! God gave us all gifts that are supposed to be exercised for the church so we can all benefit. 1 Corinthians 12:7 KJV But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal. Yet, there are only some believers with strong gift muscles. The more we exercise our physical muscles the stronger we become, and the more we exercise our spiritual muscles the stronger others become.

We are all THE BODY OF CHRIST! This means 1 body. So as the muscles in a natural body must work to strengthen one another, we must work our spiritual muscles to strength one another. In turn this will strength the body of Christ!

Spend time with God to find the spiritual gift he gave you. Then use it to strengthen THE BODY!
