Unselfish

In life most people spend most of their time thinking about themselves. That is not the way God wants us to live our lives. He wants us to live by the following acronym JOY (Jesus, Others, Yourself). The sad reality is that many people don't apply this to their daily lives. If we could think more about others and less about ourselves we would be less angry and generally happier at the core. Not to mention what it would do in our marriages.

If you spent more time thinking about what makes your spouse happy and less time thinking about what makes you happy, your marriage would be a lot better. In a marriage people say "I'm not happy because..." Well, what about looking at the possible reasons for your spouse to be unhappy. Then looking at the day and say, "what can I do today to make my spouse happy?" If we could just change the way we look at a situation so many things would change.

In Phil 2:4 It tells us, "Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others."  This is a very simple instruction, but one that people have a hard time following.

Make up your mind today that you are going to live a life with JOY and start looking at the needs of others. This would help make this crazy world a better place.
