Being Christian is not a journey for everybody. It is a conscious choice that a person makes for them self. You can never force anyone to agree with your belief system. All you can do is give them appropriate knowledge and have faith in God that they will come to a true understanding of the truth. Sometimes in life we want things for others more than they want it for themselves. At that point in time it stinks. You want the peace, joy, love, prosperity, and happiness to fill that person's life but you can't force it on them. God feels the same way about us. He wants us to love him, to need him, and to have faith in him but he will never force us.
God gives us instructions that can make us closer to him. We just have to follow the instructions. That is where the problem comes in. We as natural fleshy beings want to do things that feel good to us. However, when we follow God we are called to do things that do feel good to our flesh. Yet, they are good for our spirit. Look at Abram I'm sure when God told him to leave it didn't feel good to his flesh.
Genesis 12:1-3 KJV
Now the Lord had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee: [2] And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: [3] And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.
If we want the same promises that God gave to Abram we have to be willing to follow, even if it doesn't feel good to our flesh.
