Marriage is not something that should be taken lightly. When you get married you enter on to a union with your spouse and with God. This union is serious. A husband and wife is given specific directions by God as to how they are supposed to treat one another. The Bible tells a husband to love his wife as Christ loved the church. It also tells a wife to be submissive to the husband.
Loving your wife as Christ loved the church is not a complicate task. The Bible is telling a husband to love his wife unconditionally, gently, provide, protect, and be the priest for his house. This means he is the one accountable for the family. He will have to answer for the actions that influenced the family right or wrong.
Being submissive is not as complicated as women make out it to be. I am a very strong and independent woman! So, I learned how to be submissive. I thought I'm not going to let him run me. But, I learned if you have the right spouse he won't run you and won't even try to. Submission is simply allowing your husband to be the head! That is what God told him to do. He is the one responsible for his family. NO that doesn't make him your boss. It makes him the leader of the pack.
The Bible gives every husband and wife direction on their roles. The problems in most marriages is that people don't play the role correctly. So if you find that there is some problems in your marriage evaluate yourself and find out what you are doing, (not your spouse) then review what The Bible tells you to do. If it doesn't line up change!
