Unselfish
If you spent more time thinking about what makes your spouse happy and less time thinking about what makes you happy, your marriage would be a lot better. In a marriage people say "I'm not happy because..." Well, what about looking at the possible reasons for your spouse to be unhappy. Then looking at the day and say, "what can I do today to make my spouse happy?" If we could just change the way we look at a situation so many things would change.
In Phil 2:4 It tells us, "Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others." This is a very simple instruction, but one that people have a hard time following.
Make up your mind today that you are going to live a life with JOY and start looking at the needs of others. This would help make this crazy world a better place.

Not your own
1 Corinthians 7:4 AMP
For the wife does not have exclusive authority and control over her own body, but the husband has his rights; likewise also the husband does not have exclusive authority and control over his body, but the wife has her rights.
In a day and age where sex sells and its more common to see divorce than marriage, we need to look at some basic principals of marriage. When we get married we make a contract between us and God. If we read our Bible it tells us the terms of the agreement.
One of the terms is that we become 1 with our mate. Another term is that our body no longer belongs to us. We share our body with the other person. Now if we take a look at the second principal which is defined in 1 Corinthians 7:4 we could prevent a lot of conflict between married couples. Sexual desire for your spouse is God given. He wants us to share this with each other when we are married. If we pay more attention to our spouse and out their wants and needs above our own things would be better off.
There does have to be a balance. You don't have the right to make our mate a slave. However, you do have the right to have your needs met by your mate.
Think less about me and more about them. That's the bottom line!

Become one
Prior to our marriage my husband and I didn't see eye to eye on the role our families played in our lives. I wanted the #1 spot next to God but I wasn't his wife. I placed him in the #1 spot in my life next to God. So obviously we were not balanced. But when we got married and vowed with God to become 1, things changed. I naturally became my husbands #1 priority (next to God) and he mine. It was so naturally occurring it seemed surreal.
What changed? My husband and I applied THE TRUTH to our lives. Matthew 19:5 KJV And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh.
This scripture applies to wives too. Now I know many people may be in offense to a married couple living this way. It if you apply THE TRUTH to your life it will become surreal. All God is telling the married couples is that a wife should be most important to her husband and a husband most important to his wife. There is a balance and it is the role of each spouse to keep their families in the correct place.
If all else fails you will still be living how God wants if you apply Matthew 19:5 to your life. When you live how God instructs you can't be wrong.

Peace 2
Be at peace..God wants us to have peace in our lives. He equips us in so many different ways and yet we still allow the chaos. Be still for a moment and find God peace.
John 14:27 KJV
Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

Pleasing to God
It is important for us to live our lives in a way that makes God happy. He wants us to base our choices on what is pleasing to him. We can't live our lives trying make others happy. It is impossible to serve two masters. If you are living life to please people then you are not serving God. Galatians 1:10 KJV For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.
Live life for God and everything else will fall in to place. It's a law!

Time for Change
It is your own insecurities, jealousy, envy, and hate that keep you stuck! Nobody can make you feel anything unless you give them permission. It is time to heal yourself so those roots that God didn't plant can be uplifted! When the healing occurs you will see everything around you change. Also, stop settling for less just because you are needy! At the end if the day we all deserve to be happy. True happiness comes from God! No man, woman, or child can give you the happiness that God can!

Peace
When life throws us a storm me must learn to find the peace. God brings us peace! He can silence the waves, winds, and the storm. So settle your spirit and know that God brings peace in the midst of chaos.

Weak Muscles
Last summer my daughter got diagnosed with scoliosis and sopondylolisthesis. She under went treatment, physical therapy, and chiropractic care. She was told that this attack on her body would be something she had to live with forever and the best thing she could do was keep her core muscles strong. (Now I know she is healed, but this is not a lesson in my faith) So until her healing manifests itself in the natural she is supposed to do exercises daily. Well, that doesn't happen. When she doesn't exercise as frequently as she should I can see her back curve more. Yet, if she did the exercises her strength would be greatly increased and her symptoms would be less.
This applies to us and the body of Christ! God gave us all gifts that are supposed to be exercised for the church so we can all benefit. 1 Corinthians 12:7 KJV But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal. Yet, there are only some believers with strong gift muscles. The more we exercise our physical muscles the stronger we become, and the more we exercise our spiritual muscles the stronger others become.
We are all THE BODY OF CHRIST! This means 1 body. So as the muscles in a natural body must work to strengthen one another, we must work our spiritual muscles to strength one another. In turn this will strength the body of Christ!
Spend time with God to find the spiritual gift he gave you. Then use it to strengthen THE BODY!

Everyday you wake up is a gift from God. We awake keep going daily because God is so good to us. Not to mention all the little things he does for us on a daily basis. Everything God does for us is for our good. So let us rejoice and give him thanks.
Psalm 136:1 KJV
O give thanks unto the Lord ; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.

God Answers Prayer
Sometimes, when hearts are weak,
He gives the very gifts
believers seek.
But often faith
must learn a deeper rest
and trust God's silence
when He doesn't speak;
for He whose name is Love
will send the best.
Stars may burn out,
nor mountain walls endure,
but God is true,
His promises are sure....
....for those who seek.

John 14:13 KJV
And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
